We are excited to announce that the 2026 Sugar Ski School with Kelly Canyon is being planned for this year. Please check back to this page for updates and join our Facebook group where we post regular updates and answer questions so everyone can have the same info. The Sugar Ski School is for kids going to Sugar Salem school district only and will need to ride the bus from the schools unless parents are chaperones.
Welcome to Sugar Salem Ski School 2026 Season
Notice – Changes for the 2026 season, please read everything below before signing up.
Ski School 2026. This year will be much like last with some of the same changes in place and some new. Kelly Canyon has continued to improve the resort in many ways since last year. Check this website often as well as join the Facebook group if you have not already done so. All updates will be posted there and it’s much easier to answer questions where everyone can see the answers. Signups: This year we have to use Kelly’s website to sign up for the passes and lessons but also sign up here on this site for the buses which are mandatory for all students. The cost to Kelly’s is $220 without rentals and $320 with rentals, the bus fee is $35 per student. This will include the ticket, lessons and bus rides.
Schedule: We are planning on the following four days for ski school. Jan 9, 16, 23 3-7:00pm and Jan 30 9am-1:00pm. All students will ride the bus to the hill. Students can ride home with parents if a note is given to the bus director before leaving the school.
Helmets Helmets are STRONGLY encouraged for all students and adults on the hill. We have had some major accidents over the past few years that could have been prevented if helmets were worn. All rentals from Kelly’s include helmets so be sure to ask for one.
New Changes at the Resort Snow makers, reconditioned lifts, new lights, new terrain park area with tow rope and the list goes on. Many of these were in place last year but not fully completed.
School Area Behind Rental Shop This is where kids will unload and take their gear. No gear is to be taken to the lodge. If you bring food from home it needs to stay in this area since they are not allowing outside food and drink in the lodge. This area is where kids will change, store their gear and relax when not skiing. The lodge is still open with the restaurant if they want to purchase food and eat in the lodge.
Signups AND payments must be completed before Dec 15th, there will be no late signups this year due to getting everything to Kelly Canyon before their deadline.
